Lenovo has officially revealed the Lenovo Googlebook 15 at Google’s hardware event last week in New York City. It is the only large-screen model in the first batch of Googlebooks, which mostly come in 13-inch and 14-inch sizes.
The laptop weighs just 2.84 pounds (1.29 kg), which is very light for a 15-inch machine. Lenovo used magnesium alloy and carbon fiber to keep the weight down. It is almost as light as some smaller 14-inch models.
The Googlebook 15 has a 15.3-inch 2.8K OLED touchscreen with 500 nits of brightness. It also has Dolby Atmos surround sound, a large glass haptic touchpad, and a full-sized backlit keyboard. The lid features the Googlebook Glowbar, which shows color animations for startup, Gemini use, and battery level.
Inside, the laptop runs on Intel’s new Series 3 Panther Lake platform with an Intel Core Ultra 3 processor. It has an NPU that delivers over 45 TOPS of on-device performance. This powers features like Magic Pointer, Rambler, and Gemini suggestions without needing the cloud all the time.
The base model comes with 16GB of RAM, with up to 32GB available, and at least 256GB of SSD storage.
For logins, Lenovo included a fingerprint reader and face recognition through an infrared front camera. This allows instant logins just by lifting the lid.
The Googlebook 15 starts at USD1,299 (~Php81,000). Pre-orders are live today at Lenovo website. International pricing and availability are still unknown.
