UGREEN has quietly rolled out its latest wireless earbuds in China, and they come with some surprisingly premium features for a very accessible price.

Instead of going for the usual in-ear seal, the UGREEN HiTune S6 Pro earbuds use a clip-on design that sits gently on the outside of your ear. This open-ear style is becoming popular among people who find traditional earbuds uncomfortable after a few hours. The company added a thin titanium wire inside the clip to keep them stable, and they have also made them resistant to sweat and light splashes, so they hold up well during exercise or outdoor use.

When it comes to sound, the earbuds have 12mm drivers that deliver clear audio. They also come with a spatial audio feature, which adds a bit of depth to music and movies. There is a clever mode that aims sound directly into your ear canal, which helps keep your music private and stops it from spilling out to the people around you. The earbuds support standard Bluetooth codecs like AAC and SBC.

These are some of the first earbuds in this price range to use the newer Bluetooth 6.0 standard. That gives them a stable connection up to about 10 meters away from your phone. A nice bonus is the built-in AI voice assistant, which UGREEN says will remain free to use for life.

Battery life is where the UGREEN HiTune S6 Pro earbuds really stand out. You get nearly 10 hours of playtime from the earbuds themselves, and the charging case holds enough power to give you around 48 hours total before you need to find a wall outlet. The case charges through a USB-C port and fills up in about an hour and a half.

The UGREEN HiTune S6 Pro is now on sale for CNY199 (~Php1,700), which puts it firmly in the budget-friendly category. Right now, the only color option available is Starlight Silver. International pricing and availability are currently unknown.
