United Neon Media Group (UNMG), a leader in the advertising industry, has launched a groundbreaking visual spectacle called “Magic at the 5th,” marking the first sky projection of its kind in Southeast Asia. This innovative display was developed by UNMG’s Media Display Solutions (MDS) division and is set to captivate audiences with vibrant visuals and immersive experiences.
The project, which took three years to develop from concept to execution, draws inspiration from the simplicity of a projector, scaled up to create a larger-than-life presentation. Deputy Chief Operations Officer of UNMG, Benjamin Ernest Lim, highlighted the importance of capturing consumer attention in today’s crowded advertising landscape and emphasized that this project offers brands a unique platform for engagement.
“Magic at the 5th” can be found on the 5th Avenue in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), complementing UNMG’s existing 3D billboards in the area. Wency Adrielyne Chavez Tan, head of MDS, explained that the initiative uses advanced technology to craft stunning visuals. Specifically, the display utilizes 12 units of Panasonic Digital Light Processing (DLP) Projectors, each capable of 32,000 lumens, projecting onto a specialized holographic mesh designed to absorb light.
This visual extravaganza will run from November 2024 through February 2025, featuring thematic stories celebrating Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and Chinese New Year.
With the portability of the technology, Tan said that the group has plans for future expansions to other locations aside from BGC.
