Clamshell-style foldable phones are proven to be a success and not just an era we’ll pass through. OPPO is one of the first brands in the game as they are now on its third iteration.
The new OPPO Find N3 Flip flaunts a set of specs that’s looking more interesting than its competitors, and more importantly, a step up over its predecessor.

Its predecessor, the OPPO Find N2 Flip, was not too shabby when it came out. It has a sleek design with capable hardware on the inside, all tied together by its reasonable price tag.
Today, we’ll compare the Find N2 Flip with the latest Find N3 Flip to see what’s new. Let’s start!

Design and Build Quality
Thanks to the major upgrade to the cameras, the two are easily distinguishable because of the large camera island on the Find N3 Flip. The newer model also looks more premium with its shiny design, albeit now more prone to fingerprint smudges. OPPO has also redesigned the hinge, so it’s visually more durable and appealing.

But due to the hardware upgrades, the newer model is marginally thicker and heavier than its predecessor. The difference is very negligible when holding it side by side, though.
For extra durability, both models have IPX4 for accidental water splashes, while the Find N3 Flip gets a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus upgrade.
Display Quality
On paper, the two flip phones has the identical display features. They are tall, fast, contrasty, and vibrant. However, what you don’t see on the specs table is the crease, which is still present on the Find N3 Flip but less pronounced than the Find N2 Flip.

The cover display is also similar, but the newer model gets an upgraded Corning Gorilla Glass Victus from Gorilla Glass 5.

In addition, it’s now more usable thanks to software improvements. You can do more thanks to Mini Apps, which lets you run apps like TikTok, Telegram, and more, right from the cover screen — complete with a tiny but usable on-screen keyboard. If you already have the Find N2 Flip, don’t worry, as OPPO confirmed that you’d get all the cover display features of the Find N3 Flip soon via a software update.
Hardware
The OPPO Find N3 Flip is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor, an expected upgrade to the Dimensity 9000+ of the Find N2 Flip. It offers substantial improvements all around and is a worthy opponent to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series.

Another major upgrade here is the RAM capacity. No more 8GB option as it’s now only available in 12GB, which is more than enough to handle any task you want to throw at it.
Cameras
The OPPO Find N3 Flip’s camera is a significant upgrade over the N2 Flip. In fact, it possibly has the best set of cameras on any flip phone to date.

What we have here is a camera setup similar to the OnePlus 11. There’s the 50-megapixel main shooter with OIS, a much sharper 48-megapixel ultra-wide, and a first on any flip phone, a 32-megapixel 2x telephoto lens that’s great for portrait.
As a cherry on top, they were developed with renowned camera maker Hasselblad to ensure the best image quality.
Battery and Charging
OPPO didn’t touch the battery and charging department on the Find N3 Flip. It has the same 4,300mAh capacity with 44W SuperVOOC.

We don’t mind having the same battery since it has one of the best longevity we’ve seen on a flip. More on that in our full review soon.
Conclusion
There’s no denying that the OPPO Find N3 Flip is a step up over the Find N2 Flip.

Many things are the same, but the major camera upgrade, better processor, more RAM capacity, fancier design, more uses for the cover display, and other refinements translate to a much better flip phone.
