Taiwanese computer and tech company Acer displayed its dominance in the Philippine consumer and gaming laptop market for 2024, according to third-party data from GfK, a market research consulting firm.

Acer captured 35.7% of the total market share, taking over a third of the pie. Categorically, they took 34.2% of the consumer notebook market and 40.6% of the gaming notebook market. Simply put, one in three laptops sold in these categories is from Acer.

Best-value offerings, extensive sales coverage, and strategic marketing campaigns are viewed as key growth drivers, along with leveraging its brand ambassadors, such as SB19 and G22, to connect with younger demographics.

Acer’s Predator Gaming has also garnered a significant following and support in the esports community, thanks to events like the Asia Pacific Predator League, which has propelled the brand to market leadership in gaming in the Philippines.

“These initiatives have built stronger brand equity, resulting in customers recognizing and trusting Acer and its products. For 2025 and beyond, our consumers can only expect the best of what we can offer,” said Sue Ong-Lim, Acer Philippines Managing Director.

Acer also maintains a strong brand presence nationwide through its Acer Concept Stores, authorized dealers, and online stores on Lazada and Shopee.
