YG Entertainment, one of the biggest KPOP agencies in the world, announced that it plans to explore the world of non-fungible tokens (NFT).

To achieve this new venture, YG Entertainment has announced its strategic partnership with Binance, one of the most prominent crypto exchange platforms in the world.

For those who are unfamiliar, NFT is a one-of-a-kind digital token that allows creators and artists to share their content in a unique way — and of course — to make a whole lot of money.

In a statement, the multinational entertainment agency said that for 2022, they plan on venturing into NFTs, as well as virtual assets, and blockchains with the help of Binance.

The setup is quite obvious: Binance will handle the tech and manage the exchange, while YG Entertainment will supply the content.

Moreover, YG Entertainment is also working on other digital projects that include a smart-chain-based game and the creation of other services and goods slated for the metaverse.

Content delivery shouldn’t be an issue as YG Entertainment is behind some of the biggest names in the KPOP industry like BLACKPINK, Big Bang, iKON, WINNER, AKMU, and TREASURE.

“As a Kpop leader, we plan to steadily build an innovative and eco-friendly NFT ecosystem. Collaboration with Binance has provided an opportunity for YG to secure royalties and business opportunities for rare and valuable content. We also hope that it could further strengthen the bond between fans and artists.”
