Do you want a dedicated device for playing your favorite mobile games? Do you miss playing on your old Nintendo Game Boy? Check out the new Anbernic RG405V.
A successor to the RG405M, the Anbernic RG405V is as compact as a Game Boy with a similar nostalgic layout, but with modern features to fit in today’s era. Instead of inserting a cartridge, you’d be playing games like how you would on an Android device: get them from the Google Play Store — or on third-party sources — and play them whenever and wherever you are.

According to the official website, the RG405V runs on the Android 12 operating system, allowing users to download and install Android games, as well as 20+ simulators to “download games in relevant formats.”
You’d be installing games on its 128GB of eMMC storage, which is expandable up to 256GB, allowing you to install more than 4,000 compatible games.

It is powered by a UNISOC T618 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz, with 4GB of RAM and a Mali-G52 GPU. It’s cooled by a 9,000rpm fan. There’s a 5,500mAh battery that can provide up to 9 hours of playtime and takes 3 hours to charge.
Of course, it has the right controls like the hall joystick, XYBA buttons, and a D-pad. All are displayed on a 4-inch IPS touchscreen.
The Anbernic RG405V has a starting price of USD129.99 (~Php7,400). It should arrive soon in the Philippines through the gray market.
