If you have been waiting to get your hands on the highly anticipated action MMORPG Path of Exile 2, this is your chance. Developer Grinding Gear Games is throwing the gates open for a free weekend, the first time the game has been accessible without a paid key.
Announced by co-founder Jonathan Rogers during a GGG Live stream on August 20, the free access period runs from Thursday, August 29 through Sunday, September 1. It will be available on Windows, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5.
Take note that this is not a limited demo. Players will get unrestricted access to all available content, including the freshly launched fourth campaign act and three new interludes arriving with the game’s next major update, titled The Third Edict.
The update itself brings a significant overhaul to Support Gems, new equipment, and a seasonal mechanic, to level the playing field for newcomers. Best of all, any progress you make during the free weekend will be saved, allowing you to pick up right where you left off if you later purchase an early access key.
