There is no “home-court advantage” for the event host, Cambodia, as the 32nd Southeast Asian Games ended with Team Philippines earning gold and silver medals in the male and female divisions, respectively, in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang—the event was held in Phnom Penh.

Making for a sweeping victory for Team Philippines (SIBOL) in the male category, the country’s representative beat Team Malaysia 3-0 in a best-of-five (Bo5) series during the finals, leaving the Malaysian team to settle with a silver medal.

The Philippines, overall, already has 3 gold medals from the event, with team captain Angelo Kyle D. Arcangel having set a name for himself as the first Southeast Asian to earn gold medals twice in MLBB.
