Slash Quest, a game developed by Big Green Pillow and Mother Gaia, was initially introduced as a game jam entry in 2015.

The development took a more serious turn when the two studios began sharing workspace in 2017. By 2018, they joined forces with Apple and Noodlecake, leading to the game’s Apple Arcade release back in October 2020. It received positive feedback from the gaming community but was eventually removed from Apple Arcade in September 2021 as part of the service’s routine refresh.

However, games that depart from Apple Arcade often find new life on other gaming platforms, and “Slash Quest” is no exception. It was announced in February that the game would be returning, but the exact date was unknown until now.

For Android users, the news is particularly exciting as “Slash Quest” has just been released on the Google Play Store. The game secured a spot in Google’s Indie Games Fund, which contributed to its development of additional content and more updates. This support might explain the temporary exclusivity period for Android.

iOS gamers won’t have to wait much longer. Slash Quest is set to arrive on May 2nd and is currently available for pre-order. In addition, a Steam version is anticipated to launch in July. Slash Quest is free to download on Android and iOS with an option to unlock the full game for $4.99. To celebrate the launch, a special promotional price of $3.99 will be available for the first two weeks.
