Sony is reportedly expanding further into mobile gaming, with a recent job posting from the company announcing its search for someone to be the head of its new business division at PlayStation Studios.
As spotted by Euro Gamer, the job posting is looking for someone who will promote the vision and strategy of the mobile game development at PlayStation Studios. More interestingly, the posting also indicates a focus on adapting the brand’s most popular franchises for mobile. Think of God of War, The Last of Us, Gran Turismo, and many more possibly coming to the Android and iOS platforms.
It’s not Sony’s first foray into mobile gaming though, as the company already has a number of titles for the smartphone. These include Run Sackboy! Run!, Uncharted: Fortune Hunter, and PS Vita Pets: Puppy Parlour. It also released the Sony Xperia Play a decade ago, a phone-handheld game console hybrid that featured classic PlayStation titles.
