Consumers who bought an iPhone 11 between November 2019 and May 2020 and found fault in their device’s touchscreen display are entitled to a free component replacement, courtesy of Apple.
The campaign comes as a result of the Cupertino-based company acknowledging a fault in their mass-produced iPhone 11 products, which were found to have unresponsive touch inputs—an issue rooting in the affected devices’ main display module.
Here’s how eligible consumers can avail of the offer:
Step 1: First, validate if your iPhone 11 is entitled to the free display module replacement via its serial number through this page.
Step 2: If confirmed legible, go to your nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider or book an appointment at an Apple Retail Store in order to have your device further assessed. Should your device meet the conditions of the program, Apple will fix your iPhone 11 for free.
Step 3: Alternatively, if traveling is not an option, simply contact Apple Support and arrange for mail-in service.
