A new government report has named Converge ICT as the fastest fixed broadband provider in the country for the second quarter of 2026.
The Department of Information and Communications Technology runs a program called Oplan Bantay Signal to check internet quality nationwide. In its latest findings, Converge scored the best in download speed and had the quickest response time among all major internet services.
Their download speed averaged 158 Mbps. Their delay time, or latency, was only 5 milliseconds. That means data moves very quickly across their network, which is great for gamers, remote workers, and people who stream videos. The company also said their upload speed hit its highest level in six months, though they did not give a specific number.
There was also good news about customer service. The number of complaints filed against Converge dropped by 84 percent between January and June of this year.
The DICT also checked individual cities. None of the areas served by Converge had speeds below 15 Mbps, which is the level the government considers a problem zone. However, three cities did fall into a middle range, with speeds between 15 and 30 Mbps. The government did not release the names of those cities.
As of May, Converge has built over 960,000 kilometers of fiber optic lines across the country. They also offer internet and data services for businesses.
