A Chinese company is reportedly working on a new smartphone that offers not just two but three SIM card slots. Meet the Bluboo Xfire 2.
The company claims the Bluboo Xfire 2 to be the first 5-inch Android smartphone with triple SIM support, even though we’ve seen smartphones wielding such capability before. For instance, there’s the Brazil-bound Samsung Galaxy Star Trios, and then there’s the Acer Liquid E700 that also has a 5-inch display.
Users can make use of the triple SIM configuration by inserting two nano-SIM cards and one micro-SIM card. Alternately, if storage expansion is more important than a third phone number, one of the nano-SIM slots also functions as the microSD slot.
Other necessary details about the Bluboo Xfire haven’t been disclosed, save a few. Known features include a 5-inch display with 2.5D arc glass, front LED flash for an unspecified selfie camera and a quad-core MediaTek processor.
