HONOR Philippines just launched the HONOR 90 5G. The device comes with flagship-level features you don’t normally see in its price range, especially the kind of camera system it has.
We got our hands early with the new HONOR 90 5G and took it on our recent trip to the island of Siquijor. Other than using it to post content on social media, search for interesting local spots, and stay entertained on the flight, the device also became our primary camera tool.

The island is full of beautiful and untouched white beaches, historical old churches, and more importantly, delicious local delicacies.
We were able to capture all Siquijor has to offer with the HONOR 90 5G and its advanced camera system. With the phone’s killer camera quality and the province’s beauty, you don’t need to be a professional photographer to take great photos. Check out the images below to see them yourself.
Boracay? Palawan? Welcome to Siquijor.
The whole island of Siquijor is surrounded by white beaches, with most of them almost entirely untouched. It also has relaxing waterfalls that look as beautiful as it’s mystic. Oh, and the sunsets — the most lovely sunsets we’ve ever seen.
All these scenarios were taken beautifully by the cameras of the HONOR 90 5G, especially the flagship 200-megapixel main camera with a large 1/1.4-inch sensor, 16-in-1 pixel binning, and an f/1.9 aperture.
Beautiful churches full of history
Predominantly a Catholic province, the island of Siquijor has a number of beautiful old churches. One of them is the San Isidro Labrador Parish Church, also known as the Lazi Church that’s based on the city it’s in. It was built by Filipino artisans in 1884, with the bell tower and convent built years after.
We toured the whole of Siquijor Island and its six cities and visited each of the cities’ churches. You can check some of them out below, which were mostly captured using the sharp 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera of the HONOR 90 5G with automatic scene detection. The lens’s 112-degree wide field-of-view is perfect for capturing large architecture such as these.
Siquijor Express? Yes, it’s a thing — and it’s goooooood!
Other than the destinations, there’s one thing we’re always excited to discover when traveling: unique local delicacies. Siquijor sure has them, and one of our favorites is the Siquijor Express. It’s basically Bicol Express with extra ingredients that made it more unique.
It was served in a fancy yet reasonably-priced restaurant with a panoramic view of the whole island. If you ever visit Siquijor, it’s called the Larena Triad Restaurant and Bakery. Be there at around dusk so you can enjoy the sunset on the viewing deck before you have your dinner.
We also tried a prominent Halo-Halo place and bakeries that sell “Pan Bisaya” where they freshly bake different types of bread using a pugon. Oh, and there are restaurants where you can dine next to a white sand beach, and even go for a quick dip as they prepare your food. Talk about a heavenly experience.
We were able to immortalize these food adventures with the HONOR 90 5G cameras’ accurate color rendering and low-light performance.
Don’t forget the pasalubongs!
A Filipino trip will not be complete without going to the souvenir shop to purchase something as a pasalubong for friends and family.
Siquijor knows that they are known for their mystic traditions, and they surely bank on it. You can take home a ref magnet or keychain in the shape of a voodoo doll, which would be a really unique addition to you or your friends’ collection. Trust me, they’ll find it cute, as much as our friends did.
