The Motorola Moto G is the latest device to undergo a Google Play transformation. It’s now available for sale via Google’s online store, but only in countries supported by Devices on Google Play.

The Motorola Moto G Google Play Edition starts at $179 for 8GB internal storage, with the 16GB version only priced $20 higher. As is with all GPE devices, the preinstalled Android 4.4 KitKat is in its vanilla/untouched form. The device is also guaranteed to receive the latest software updates as they become available.

Announced back in November, the original Moto G is a budget phone but jam-packed with specs that are usually found in mid-range handsets. Differences between the original and the GPE are minimal at best.
