Samsung has just recently unveiled the features that come with the One UI 2.5 in light of Samsung Galaxy S20’s upcoming release. Along with the announcement comes a list of Samsung products that are all subject to the same OS update soon.

While the list itself is pretty long, all of the mentioned devices are within Samsung’s top of the line category and are recent devices, going as far as Samsung Galaxy S9.

Previously, some Galaxy S9 users were worried that their beloved device would not even get the One UI 2.1, which it eventually did. Seeing Samsung’s 2018 flagship to be included in the list of recipient for the update only makes it more surprising.

Although major OS releases had traditionally been uniform in terms of content when they do rollout, the One UI 2.5 seems to be different. Samsung itself noted that the feature to come with each device would vary, but did not elaborate further on the extent of the disparity.

Part also of the uncertainty is the fact that the giant South Korean tech company has failed to disclose a release window for the implementation of the update for each respective device.

Samsung’s One UI 2.5 custom interface is based on Android 10 and will bring new and improved features across recipient device’s many facets, including camera, connectivity, notes, and reminders.
