If you think the iPhone 6’s 6.9-millimeter profile is incredibly thin, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A8 is even thinner than that—a full millimeter thinner to be exact.
Samsung has yet to make the Galaxy A8 official, but it has already been circulating in the rumor mill. Recently leaked pictures show that this smartphone is a continuation of the company’s A-series of devices that offer mid-range specs and don a premium-looking outfit.
That said, the Galaxy A8 comes packing a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full HD (1080p) resolution, a Snapdragon 615 processor and 2GB of RAM. It further comes equipped with 16GB of internal storage, a microSD slot for storage expansion and a 3050mAh battery. To top it off, the Galaxy A8 makes use of a 16-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.
All these are found in a super thin phone. It’s also worth noting the side bezels being thin themselves. The home button may appear a bit too large to some people, but Samsung has made it so to accommodate a fingerprint reader.
No word on an announcement date or pricing is available. But since we’re already seeing leaked pictures, the Samsung Galaxy A8’s official debut could be happening soon.
