Sharp has announced a new smartphone—the new Sharp Aquos Xx 304SH—that’s sports the highest screen-to-body ratio, even beating the previous titleholder LG G2.

Measuring 135mm by 72mm, the Sharp Aquos Xx 304SH’s 5.2-inch display occupies 79 percent of its body. By comparison, the LG G2‘s efforts in trimming down the bezels have its similarly large display take up around 76 percent of its front.

Sharp Aquos Xx 304SH colors

Besides unique frontal design (notice the front camera at the bottom of the display), the Sharp Aquos Xx 304SH also features an updated set of hardware, a sleek metal body, powerful cameras (the rear shooter doubles as a text translator), and water and dust protection (IPX5/IPX7).

The Sharp Aquos Xx 304SH is headed for Japan this coming May, with no word on an international release. It costs 69,120 yen or roughly Php30,150 off-contract.
