iPhones are Apple’s, and probably one of the world’s, most popular products since it came out. And, it continues to be as it dominates lists of best-selling phones in the last few years.

In Counterpoint Research’s Global Top 10 best-selling phones for 2023, the top 7 spot was all iPhones. The first three are from the iPhone 14 series, topped by the vanilla iPhone 14, suggesting that value-oriented smartphones still dominate.

Apple’s new Dynamic Island feature appears to be a success. As per Counterpoint Research that feature, as well as the much better chipset and screen refresh rate are why the Pro variants had better market performance in 2023 compared to previous years.

The fourth spot is owned by iPhone 13, which is one of Apple’s cheapest smartphones for 2023. The last three are from the iPhone 15 series, which is impressive considering they only came out by the end of the year.

It’s also worth noting that, unlike the iPhone 14 series, the iPhone 15 Pro Max beats the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro. This is possibly due to early adaptors who always get the best new model once they are out.

The rest of the list is from Android and, more particularly, from Samsung. As expected, they are all entry-level phones: the Galaxy A14 5G, A04e, and A14 4G.
