Tokyo is set to welcome the world’s first permanent Dragon Ball Store this year, marking a major milestone for the iconic franchise’s 40th anniversary. The store, announced by Toei Animation in collaboration with Shueisha and Bird Studio, will offer fans a dedicated space to explore exclusive merchandise, including limited-edition items unavailable anywhere else.
Dragon Ball was created by the late Akira Toriyama, who passed away in March 2024. Since its debut as a manga in 1984, Dragon Ball has grown into a global phenomenon, spanning over 20 theatrical anime films, dozens of video games, and a vast array of merchandise.
The new store promises a wide selection of products catering to fans of all ages, from classic collectibles to items tied to recent releases like Dragon Ball Daima. While the exact location in Tokyo has yet to be revealed, speculation points to popular districts such as Akihabara, Shibuya, Shinjuku, or Ikebukuro—all known for their anime and gaming culture.

Unlike temporary pop-up shops, the Dragon Ball Store will be a permanent addition, joining rare company like the Pokémon Center as one of the few franchise-specific retail spaces in Japan.
Further details, including the official opening date and merchandise lineup, will be announced soon via the franchise’s website and social media channels.
