Saudi Arabia is set to become home to a groundbreaking new attraction: the world’s first theme park inspired by the Dragon Ball franchise. This development promises a fully immersive experience for fans of the iconic series, which spans manga, movies, and games.

The Qiddiya Investment Company, which is spearheading the project, has unveiled ambitious plans for the park. It will cover a spacious 500,000 square meters of area and will be divided into seven locations. Each zone will be themed around different iterations of the Dragon Balls, ensuring a diverse and engaging experience for visitors.

Within these themed lands, guests can look forward to over 30 rides and 5 major attractions that draw inspiration from the Dragon Ball universe. The experience will be complemented by a range of hotels and restaurants, catering to the needs of visitors from all over the world.

The company has released concept art that offers a sneak peek at what future visitors can expect. The visuals highlight various famous settings from the Dragon Ball series, such as Capsule Corporation, Kame House, and Beerus’ Planet. One standout feature is a striking Shenron rollercoaster, soaring to a height of 70 meters.

This announcement coincides with a significant year for Dragon Ball, marking the 40th anniversary of the original manga. Furthermore, the news follows shortly after the passing of Akira Toriyama, the legendary artist and visionary creator of Dragon Ball.

Dragon Ball has evolved from its manga roots into a cultural force, thanks to the success of the original series, the widely celebrated “Z” series, the polarizing GT, and the hugely popular Super series. The upcoming theme park represents an opportunity for fans to step into the world they’ve admired on page and screen for decades.

While the opening date for the park has not yet been announced, the Qiddiya Investment Company has indicated that construction will begin soon.
