Is your government spying on you?
Yesterday, The Guardian published a huge exposé and revealed how many governments all around the world are using a spyware called Pegasus to monitor their citizens.
If you have reason to believe your government is violating your privacy, researchers at Amnesty International recommend the Mobile Verification Toolkit to identify if your smartphone has been infected with Pegasus.

It’s not as easy as tapping a Scan button and waiting for results. You need a bit of technical know-how to use the tool. But if you get it running, MVT will scan your text messages, phone records, and other files for indicators of compromise in your device. These are information with links to the NSO Group, the Israeli company behind Pegasus.
To get started with MVT and confirm your fear of being watched by the government, read this documentation. The tool works for both iPhones and Android devices.
