While it certainly took its time since first getting unveiled back in June, the Asus Memo Pad HD 7 is finally available in the Philippines, with prices starting at only Php6,995.
Since its announcement at Computex, this 7-inch slate underwent some software and hardware changes. We previously listed the device to be coming with a rather outdated Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) OS, 1.5GHz processor, and 2MP front camera. But as seen in the official Asus website, the Memo Pad HD 7 actually comes with 4.2 Jelly Bean pre-installed, a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK8125 processor, and 1.2MP front-facing camera. The other specs we listed remain the same.
For its starting price at Php6,995, the Asus Memo Pad HD 7 features a 7-inch display with in-plane switching (IPS) technology for wide-view angles. Besides the front camera, the tablet also comes with a 5-megapixel rear-facing shooter. Weighing at only 302g, the tablet promises up to 10 hours of battery life.
Available internal storage is 8GB, but a 16GB variant is also offered for Php8,995. Actual usable space for user files is actually less due to the space reserved for bundled apps and the OS. Color choices are gray, green, pink, white, and blue.
i read on some other website that it doesn’t allow installation of apps direct to SD….$*&#*! oh well i’ll get the Novo7tech
Non expandable? Hmmm, for that price it sounds a better deal than fusion bolt.
