ASUS has posted a teaser about the upcoming arrival of the Zenfone 3 Zoom.
The consumer tech show CES kicks off every year with a massive display of new products that people can look forward to. The Taiwanese company has confirmed its participation in the said event and has shown a glimpse of what they’re going to showcase.
There has been a barrage of ASUS Zenfone 3 (read our review) smartphones a couple of months ago, but the family is not yet complete. What’s missing? Yes, the camera-centric Zenfone Zoom. ASUS didn’t mention anything about the Zenfone 3 Zoom just yet, but its teaser image contains two lenses which ignited speculations that it will sport a dual camera setup like on the iPhone 7 Plus.
ASUS has mentioned several camera specifics like a 12-megapixel sensor, f/1.7 aperture, and 2.3x optical zoom.
A little over two weeks ago, Zenfone 3 Zoom was seen in China certification agency TENAA, confirming several key specs. It will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, Snapdragon 625 CPU, and 4GB of RAM. There will also be a fingerprint scanner and a large 4,850mAh battery inside.
The teaser video implicates a strong focus in the human eyes. At the end, ASUS showed a smartphone with a certain logo or symbol on it. Two handsets appeared, so we’re not sure if there’s going to be two models. Anyway, let’s just wait for the official reveal come January 4, 2017.
