Nikon has introduced the new Coolpix P1100, its latest bridge camera with a whopping 125x zoom lens that the company claims is the “gold standard” of its class.
The Nikon COOLPIX P1100 has a 24-3000mm lens. It then uses a decent 16.79-inch 1/2.3 sensor. The aperture can go as wide as f/2.8 but shrinks down to f/8.0 when you zoom all the way.

If the 3000mm zoom doesn’t get you close enough, the P110 offers an extra 4x magnification with its digital zoom for an equivalent of 12000mm.
That lens has 17 elements made into 12 groups. The camera also has Dual Detect Optical VR, which Nikon claims can reach vibration reduction equivalent to 4.0 stops at the center of the frame so you can shoot better handheld under extreme magnification.

For videos, the P1100 can shoot 4K videos up to 30p. It then has a flexible 3.2-inch vari-angle LCD monitor and supports HDMI for external viewfinders.
Nikon also created a dedicated Bird Watching Mode and has customizable Fn1 and Fn2 buttons. You can also get the camera with an ML-L7 Remote Control. USB-C is also here for input and output support.

The Nikon COOLPIX P1100 will be available this month for USD1,099.95 (~Php63,800).
