Blizzard now allows players to change BattleTags more than once.
Although Battle.Net has now started selling BattleTags, everyone is still entitled to one free name change. After that, they will charge $10 for every transaction.
“Whether you’ve outgrown your BattleTag or you’ve decided it’s simply time for a change, you can update your BattleTag with just a few clicks,” Blizzard says.
Players aren’t allowed to change BattleTags more than once before. Even though you’re changing your name, you’ll be able to keep your friends list and everything in tact.
If you use Steam, it allows to change your community ID name any time and as many times you want. This is good because it’s free, but that certainly raises confusions to the community as a whole. But in case Steam would implement something like this, we hope that they would charge a little less because $10 is a bit too high for a name change.
