Since DOOGEE’s comeback to the Philippines back in August, the company brought nothing but a bunch of tablets. Now, that’s about to change as the company’s local arm is teasing a smartphone launch.

In the past few days, DOOGEE Philippines has been posting content regarding the DOOGEE Smini, hinting at its release in the country. No official date has been set, but considering that the device’s image is included in the brand’s holiday promos, it may arrive just before Christmas.

To get you excited, here are some of the features of the Smini that you should know. For starters, it is a rugged phone that has IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810H certifications. But unlike other rugged phones, you can easily fit it in your palms thanks to its compact 4.5-inch qHD+ IPS display.

It also comes with a tiny display next to the camera that shows battery life, time and date, and temperature.

Under the hood, it is powered by the trusty MediaTek Helio G99 processor, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There’s a 3000mAh battery with decent 18W fast charging, and a 50-megapixel main camera on the back joined by a 2-megapixel depth sensor, while on the front, we have an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies.

We shall have the official Philippine launch date of the DOOGEE S mini in the coming days, so stay tuned for that.
