The latest report from market analytics firm IDC revealed that HMD Global, the company that produces Nokia phones, still dominates the feature phone market for the third quarter of 2023.
The full top 5 list was not shared by both HMD Global and IDC, but they did say that the phone maker has 30.7% market share by value and 22.4% by volume, which is an increase over the previous quarter.
HMD detailed the four key factors that made Nokia’s success possible. One of them is the UPI, or Unified Payments Interface, integration which increases the functionality of such devices and enables its users to have secure digital transactions.
The company has also refreshed some of its top models with brand-new designs and vibrant colors, which made them extra appealing to customers. Those devices include the Nokia 110, Nokia 2660 Flip, and Nokia 8210.
As expected, HMD said that they will take these achievements and will continue to push to stay on top.
