HUAWEI, together with Vogue as its official media partner, held an exclusive gala at the Shangri-La at The Fort, Bonifacio Global City on May 23. The event is a celebration of HUAWEI’s commitment to innovation and Vogue’s well-known expertise in both style and photography.
The event was attended by actor Jericho Rosales, who highlighted the forward symbol design of the new HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra and how it translates to “progress, of moving forward fearlessly” and how it’s a reminder that “in fashion, as in life, we must always embrace change and keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.”
Meanwhile, Vogue Man editor Danyl Generican shared how the HUAWEI Pura 70 series‘ mix of technology and user-friendliness gave him “the confidence and tools” he “needed to produce professional-quality photos right from the start.”
HUAWEI also held the XMAGE Awards ceremony during the event, which showcases photos from different themes and categories like Moments, Faces, So Far So Close, Hello Life, Art and Fashion, Action, Style, and Focus x Time.
While this year’s event highlights HUAWEI’s collaborations with esteemed partners like Vogue and Fotomoto, it also put the spotlight on the HUAWEI community, which consists of members who played a significant role as photo contributed and former XMAGE winners.
Highlighting the Pura 70 series’ photography prowess as its prominent feature, guests were able to appreciate photos from the XMAGE Exhibit, which paid homage to HUAWEI’s different moment highlights, namely moments of smile, time, beauty, and discovery.
HUAWEI’s “moments” theme was the key player throughout the gala as it symbolizes different areas of the Pura 70 series’ photographic capabilities. Currently, there are four “moments” themes highlighted through the series, and each focuses on different sides of photography when taking photos with the devices.
The First theme, called “moments of time,” deals with the unique and heartwarming stories found everywhere in daily life — fleeting moments that often go unnoticed by most people. With the XMAGE technology within the Pura 70 series, these serendipitous moments are immortalized and kept alive for years.
Second, we have the “moments of discovery,” which stresses going beyond exploring the world around us and, instead, looking for stories, discoveries, and connections through them. the XMAGE technology of HUAWEI can easily document one’s journey through life and also record their discoveries and knowledge of the world around them.
