The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Inter-Agency Council on Traffic (i-ACT) has introduced last February 27 its chatbot hotline for a quicker and more approachable way to receive and address the people’s complaints on traffic and transport management.
As stated in a Facebook post from DOTr, the emergence of this “Sumbong Bulok, Sumbong Usok” (SBSU) hotline was in accordance to i-ACT’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program’s (PUVMP) implementation.
In a live-streaming speech, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Danilo Lim said it “enables the citizens to forward any concern that falls under the member-agencies’ mandate through Facebook Messenger”.
Lim said that the agency has assigned Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) or “case solvers” to accommodate concerns and inquiries they will receive from the said chatbot hotline.
“Hinikayat ko ang publiko na makibahagi sa adhikain ng pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay-alam sa i-ACT ng mag lumlalabag sa lansangan upang kaming mga ahensyang kasapi nito ay mapagtuunan ito ng pansin at makagawa ng sapat na aksyon sa kalong madaling panahon,” Lim added.
Those who are interesting in doing their share in reporting violators could check out the official i-ACT Facebook page.
