Two for the price of one: O+ USA has announced a new convertible that runs not just one, but two operating systems, Android 5.1 Lollipop and Windows 10. Meet the O+ Duo.

Although the dual boot feature is already a nice touch, there’s more to love in the O+ Duo device. It features an 8-inch IPS display that’s powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and Intel HD Graphics. Available onboard storage is 64GB (actual usable storage is, of course, less because of system files), with storage expansion possible through the microSD slot.

As a convertible, the O+ Duo seems to have a permanently docked keyboard. Or the accessory could be detached, in which case it’d be more appropriate to refer to O+ Duo as a hybrid. We’ll have to wait for O+ USA to shed more light on the details. Every unit is bundled with micro-USB cable, charger adapter and earphones.

UPDATE: Here’s our full review of O+ Duo!

The O+ Duo reportedly has an official price of Php6,995. Given the specs, the price seems too good to be true, don’t you think? For now, this is one of the very few local devices available that boasts dual boot capability. If you’re looking for alternative options, the Cloudfone Epic 7.1 and Epic 8.9 tablets come to mind.
