In another news of brands teaming up for CES 2018, here comes Xiaomi and Oculus. These two companies have joined forces to come up with the Oculus Go and Mi VR Standalone.
Both the Oculus Go and Mi VR Standalone will come with the standalone VR technology from Oculus, embodied in a hardware manufactured by Xiaomi.
Both VR headsets will sport a specialized Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 mobile VR platform. The two also has support for the Oculus Mobile SDK, so rest assured that you can enjoy the product for a long time as developers keep creating contents for it.
Both the Oculus Go and Mi VR Standalone will also have a fast and high-resolution screen. Which greatly eliminates all the visual issues that previous VR headsets’ has. They are also rigged with an integrated spatial audio system for a more immersive experience. The sound will be coming right from the headset itself, no need for an external sound source.
The Mi VR Standalone will be exclusively available in China, while the Oculus Go is expected to come in early 2018.
