As a music junkie, I’ve become accustomed to using wireless headphones and never looked back. It’s why I’m elated to know that audio equipment manufacturer Plantronics has released a new product—the BackBeat Sense.
This particular wireless Bluetooth headphone seems to be a balance between design and performance. It features a lightweight, memory-foam ear cushions and an auto-adjusting headband to maximize comfort. It has physical controls for music playback, a power switch and a multi-purpose button for accepting calls, activating Siri and other functions. There’s also a button for the OpenMic feature, which lets the user hear the outside world.

One technical specification that makes the Plantronics BackBeat Sense remarkable is its wireless range: up to 100 meters from the paired device using Class 1 Bluetooth. In addition, the headphone is capable of connecting to two Bluetooth devices at the same time. Its earpads come with sensors that automatically play or pause music when you wear or remove the headphones.
Available in black and white, these headphones can last up to 18 hours of nonstop music playback before it requires recharging (up to 2.5 hours to reach full battery capacity).
The Plantronics BackBeat Sense wireless headphone is currently selling for $179.99 (approx. Php8,200).
