Aside from smartphones, Xiaomi has been launching various products for its ecosystem. Recently, the Chinese tech brand added several items to its portfolio. These include Mi Bands, True Wireless Speakers, and a TV stick.
Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 5
The Xiaomi has finally launched the new Mi Smart Band 5 globally. The biggest changes in the product in comparison to its predecessor are the screen and the the charging cable. Unfortunately, it still lacks NFC, an SpO2 or blood oxygen tracking, and a voice assistant.
Let’s talk about the display first. The new Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 5 comes with a larger 1.1-inch screen from the 0.95-inch display of the Mi Band 4. It also comes with new widgets that allow you to choose your indicators on the home screen. Heart Rate monitor on the other hand is now 50% more accurate.
Another major upgrade is its charging cable. With the new cable, you may charge the device without removing it from your wrist band. This makes it convenient and easier especially for people who use metal bands.
Likewise, its battery remains at 14 hours. You may also use it for swimming as it is water-resistant. There’s also a camera remote shutter that allows you to snap a photo even from afar.
It can also identify if you’re stressed and will help you deal with it bg giving you breathing exercises. Its sleep tracker can now track your naps. There’s also an addition of female health tracking.
The band will be available in six silicone bands. The Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 5 retails for a price of EUR40 or roughly around Php2,260 before taxes.
Mi TWS Earphones Basic
The new Mi TWS Earphones Basic comes with improved wireless audio. It also has a noise cancellation for calls, all thanks to the extra pair of mics.
The Mi TWS also has the pretty standard touch controls. There’s also a smart ear detection that pauses your music player when you take out the buds and resumes when you plug it again.
In terms of battery life, the device runs for 5 hours on a charge and up to 20 hours in total if you put them in the case. The case is USB-C capable. Just like most TWS these days, pairing the buds with your Xiaomi device is also quite simple.
Just like the new Mi Band, the Mi TWS Earphone will retail for a price of EUR40 (~Php2,260).
Mi TV Stick
The new Mi TV stick is just one of the many products launched by Xiaomi. The Mi TV stick lets you watch your streaming services up to 1080p resolution. Since it runs Android, you can watch Netflix and access other applications found in Google Play.
The Xiaomi Mi TV stick comes powered by a quad-core Cortex A53 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The device supports Dolby and DTS audio compression technology. It also has a Bluetooth remote control that allows voice commands through Google Assistant.
It’s priced at EUR39.99 or around Php2,200 before taxes in PH.
