When you’re in need of a high-capacity power bank without spending a lot, look no further than Xiaomi’s new product—the 20000mAh Mi Power Bank.
That’s 4000mAh more than Xiaomi’s previous release (which currently sells for Php1,299 here in the Philippines). A capacity that large, with a 5.1V/3.6A output, should be able to give full charges to the iPhone 6 (or similar smartphones) up to seven times or the iPad mini at least three times. Charging the power bank itself, which is composed of six LG/Panasonic cells at 3350mAh each, fully requires five hours.
The 20000mAh Mi Power Bank takes a different approach to its design, utilizing ABS plastic for its body instead of the aluminum casing of the company’s previous power banks. This should apparently help increase scratch resistance and improve the grip, but it also adds heft—the power bank weighs 338g. The power bank comes with two standard USB ports and one micro-USB port. It also offers circuit protection and LED power indicators.
The 20000mAh Mi Power Bank is already available in China for CNY149 (approx. Php1,100). Official Philippine availability and pricing information has not yet been disclosed.
