After OPPO’s official launch of the F9, Vivo is preparing to launch a new smartphone to compete with it.
If the event poster is any indication, it means that the in-display fingerprint sensor previously found on the Vivo X21 will be arriving in the V-series. It’s also worth noting that the invite says “Experience 11”, which hints that it’s the name of the next phone instead of V10.
The Vivo V11 is the company’s newest midrange smartphone set to replace the Vivo V9. Competition is heating up, so smartphone manufacturers are dropping their cards on the table.
UPDATE: It’s now official.
Similar to the OPPO F9, the Vivo V11 is cutting down on bezels, too. The waterdrop screen notch is smaller than usual, and it gives a more seamless look all around.
As for hardware, the Vivo V11 is expected to come with a large 6.41-inch display with Full HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Rumors say that it will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Processor will also be upgraded to Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 and it will be equipped with fast charging.
For the cameras, it’s expected to feature a dual rear camera setup with 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. There will also be a pixel-packed 25-megapixel selfie camera, which matches the pixel count on the F7 and F9.
Vivo will reveal the V11 in India this coming September 6. Price is currently unknown.
