We are just a few days away until the Zenfone 5 gets unveiled. And with this new leak, we get a glimpse of what ASUS has in store for us on February 27 at MWC 2018.
This new information came from AnTuTu, a well-known benchmarking app. A device with a codename ASUS Z01RD has been through the app, which reveals some of its key specifications and benchmark test result.
The device in subject has some top-of-the-line features, which leads us to believe that it would be the ASUS Zenfone 5 — the company’s much-anticipated flagship for 2018.
AnTuTu has listed the ASUS Z01RD with a Snapdragon 845 chipset — Qualcomm’s latest processor that we expect to see in almost all flagship devices that are coming out this year.
The processor is bundled with a 6GB of RAM and Adreno 630. Storage wise, the ASUS Zenfone 5 is said to have 32GB of internal storage, which is a bit disappointing for a flagship device.
On the display side, we might be getting a 2246 x 1080 pixel resolution screen. This is in-line with the obvious fact that the next Zenfone flagship will have a wide 18:9 aspect ratio display. And if the leaked live photo from Slashleaks is to be believed, the Zenfone 5 will also have the infamous display notch treatment.
The ASUS Z01RD got a score of 238129 on the said AnTuTu benchmark, putting its name right up there on the top list.
Now let’s just wait for ASUS to confirm all these details when they take the stage at MWC 2018 in Barcelona later this month.
