Globe Telecom has teamed up with Starlink — an international telco company that uses a constellation of satellites to provide internet access anywhere in the world — for its latest prepaid promos.
The new Globe promos will allow Filipinos to access the internet through Starlink satellites directly on their mobile phones. Perfect for those living in far-flung and remote areas, for maritime purposes, or those who love to hike and camp.
It comes in two tiers. There’s the GLOBE STARLINK 99 with 100 texts, 2GB of satellite data access to essential apps, and a validity of 30 days.
The GLOBE STARLINK 299 comes with 500 texts, 10GB of data, and a 90-day validity. It’s not clear what apps are included in the “essential apps,” though.
As of now, the promos are only available for Android users. iOS users will still have to wait for now. Also, you have to enable data roaming for it to work.
