Smart Communications announced that its subscribers can now get a pair of smart glasses powered by Google’s Gemini AI, available through postpaid plans later this month.
The Rokid AI Glasses will be up for grabs starting May 29, 2026. Smart is the first telco in the country to sell this kind of wearable tech with a monthly plan.
People who sign up for Smart Postpaid Plans+ 1499 can buy the glasses for Php28,800 as a one time payment. Those on the fancier Smart Infinity Plan 5000 can get them at no extra cost. Infinity members on Plan 8000 also qualify for the free smart glasses.
Smart Plan+ 1499 comes with 40GB of regular data, free 5G for the first year, unlimited calls and texts to any network, free landline calls, and some bonus perks.
Infinity members get unlimited data, roaming options, credits for app purchases and subscriptions, a dedicated agent, faster store service, and a 24/7 hotline.
The eyewear weighs just 49 grams. That is lighter than many regular pairs of sunglasses. It has a 12-megapixel camera built in and can play music privately without need separate earphones.
Google Gemini lives inside the glasses, where sers can talk to it as needed. It can answer questions, translate languages on the spot, set reminders, write simple content, offer suggestions, and more.
The latest version of the glasses also added other popular AI tools. These include ChatGPT from OpenAI, DeepSeek, and Qwen from Alibaba. People can switch between them on the same device.
Rokid AI Glasses also lets regular people and content creators film hands free videos from their own point of view. Travelers can get real time translation help and directions. Professionals can use the built in teleprompter for speeches and let the AI take notes for them.
Smart official Marjorie Garrovillo said the goal is to give more people access to smarter technology, not just faster internet. Another executive, Lloyd Manaloto, called the glasses a kind of superpower that helps users do more and stay ahead.
People can get the Rokid AI Glasses at select Smart stores. They can either get them with a postpaid plan or purchase the device by itself in cash for Php36,100.
