Starlink, the satellite internet service of Elon Musk’s SpaceX, gets a limited-time discount in the Philippines.

The Starlink internet service is seen as a great solution to improve internet services in remote locations in the Philippines. It’s more practical than running the traditional fiber lines, however, it’s still relatively expensive for the average consumer.

Thankfully, Starlink is discounting the hardware kit for a limited time. From its original price of Php29,320, you can get it for only Php19,999 until August 31, 2023. The service itself will cost Php2,700 per month.

The hardware kit will include the Starlink satellite itself, the base, cables, and the WiFi router. The delivery is included, too. You can avail the service on the company’s official website. You’d be doing the easy setup yourself with the help of an iOS or Android app.

For those who are not familiar, Starlink uses low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites launched in space to beam internet directly to users. As of May 2023, there are over 4,000 mass-produced LEO satellites to cover a lot of markets in the world.

Filipino users can expect speeds of 50Mbps to 200Mbps. But if you hate it and change your mind, Starlink offers a 30-day free trial.
