Broadcast journalist and YouTuber Raffy Tulfo lashed into Lazada and Shopee for their apparent failed system that lacks proper screening and allows sellers to list counterfeit merchandise.
In his program on TV5, a clip of which is available on YouTube, Tulfo expressed frustration with the e-commerce companies, where sellers had put up for sale fake items that rip off his Raffy Tulfo In Action Merchandise products, especially shirts and hoodies printed with the trademarked phrase “Tulfo and Chill.”
Tulfo also said he had letters sent to Shopee and Lazada to complain over the issue, but the latter two reportedly had yet to respond and resolve the issue. He also enumerated other complaints brought by netizens involving fake medicines and scammers.
Tulfo further accused Lazada and Shopee of not caring for its consumers and legitimate merchants and threatened to file a lawsuit in court against the two companies.
