The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced the launch of the upgraded version of the “May Huli Ka”, a website that allows motorists to check whether they are flagged for traffic violations due to the reinstated No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP).

To use the website, go to https://mayhulika.mmda.gov.ph, input the vehicle’s plate number or conduction sticker number, along with the motor vehicle (MV) file number, then check if you have any recorded violations.

“The inclusion of the MV file number is an added security and protection so that only the vehicle owners can securely check their violations under NCAP,” said MMDA Chairman Atty. Don Artes.

Aside from providing an avenue to check your NCAP violation status, the website guides drivers through the payment process, where to pay their fines, and how to appeal apprehensions.

Prior to the implementation of the website, the only ways to get informed if you’ve violated traffic rules from NCAP were through (1) Swift Ticket Generation to Delivery (delivery rider) and (2) 5-to-7-day door-to-door delivery of tickets from verification of the violation via PhilPost. However, these methods are slow and inefficient.

Through the ‘May Huli Ka’ website, motorists can conveniently and quickly check their violation status in just a few steps.

One current limitation of the website is that it can only return a static webpage indicating whether or not a driver has incurred traffic violations through the NCAP, but it doesn’t contain the actual NCAP video footage. Thankfully, the MMDA aims to include this feature in the coming months.

Other future improvements that the MMDA is considering include real-time email and text notifications to quickly disseminate information about potential traffic violations caught by NCAP monitoring, and online hearings for those who want to contest their supposed violation through the website.
