HONOR has introduced a new smartwatch to its lineup, the HONOR Watch X5. The announcement was made in China, where the watch debuted at the same event as the company’s latest HONOR 500 and HONOR 500 Pro.
The centerpiece of the Watch X5 is its spacious 1.97-inch AMOLED screen. This display offers a clear picture with a resolution of 390 by 450 pixels and features curved-edge glass. The watch is designed to be light on the wrist, weighing a mere 29 grams without its strap.

Durability is a focus, with the watch carrying both an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and a 5ATM certification, meaning it is suitable for swimming. The body is crafted from aluminium alloy, while the back is made of plastic.
For fitness enthusiasts, the device packs a heart rate monitor and has its own GPS for mapping outdoor activities without needing a paired smartphone. It can track more than 120 types of workouts, in addition to offering sleep analysis and menstrual cycle tracking.
On the connectivity front, the watch supports Bluetooth 5.3 and includes NFC capabilities. Users can take calls directly on the watch thanks to its built-in microphone and speaker. Other functions allow it to act as a remote control for your phone’s camera and to mute notifications with a Do Not Disturb mode.

HONOR emphasizes the watch’s long battery performance, stating it can run for about two weeks on a full charge with normal use. If the always-on display setting is activated, this duration decreases to around five days. Charging is handled by a magnetic dock.
The Watch X5 is designed to work with a wide range of phones, including Android devices version 9.0 and up, and iPhones running iOS 13 or later. It will be available with either a Black or a White silicone strap.
Priced at CNY499 (~Php4,100), the HONOR Watch X5 is now on sale through HONOR’s official Chinese online store.
