Finance platform Billease is granting a financial reset to borrowers with overdue accounts. Their new “Bagong Simula Promo,” active until December 31, 2025, provides forgiveness of late penalties for those who qualify.
The holiday amnesty initiative, announced last week, could assist more than one million Filipinos. The total value of waived fees is estimated to be in the billions of pesos.
To receive the benefit, eligible Billease customers must settle their full outstanding balance, covering the principal loan and standard interest, by the year’s end. Upon payment, all added late charges are automatically removed.
Qualified borrowers will be notified directly via the Billease app, email, or text message with a personal offer code. Payments must be completed through the official website, billease.ph, to trigger the automatic waiver.
Settling an account through this program can also aid long-term financial health. It may help improve a user’s credit history and create opportunities for better credit scores later.
