Xiaomi was at MWC 2026 and unveiled its most camera-centric smartphone, the Xiaomi Leica Leitzphone.
The Xiaomi Leica Leitzphone is the global version of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition that came out in China months ago. Only this time, the 6,800mAh battery was downgraded to a 6,000mAh module.
Everything else is the same. The highlight continues to be the rotating Leica Camera Ring around the camera island, allowing you to adjust the zoom and exposure, just like how you can with a professional camera.
There’s also the Leica Essential Mode that can mimic the look and style of popular Leica cameras like the M3 and M9.
It comes in a single black colorway, with a leather-like rear panel and Leica’s distinct red dot logo, which pays homage to the design language of their cameras.
The rest of the specs are identical to the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. There’s the 1-inch 50-megapixel main sensor, 200-megapixel telephoto, 50-megapixel ultra-wide, and 50-megapixel selfie camera.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, with 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. There’s a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED screen on the front with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support, and 1-120Hz refresh rate.
We also have support for fast 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. Plus, an IP68-rated durability.
It ships with an elegant case with the same aesthetics and Leica logo, a red wrist strap, lens cap, and even a lens cleaner.
The Xiaomi Leica Leitzphone is available in the UK for EUR1,699 (~Php115,400). You can also get it with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Photography Kit Pro for EUR199.99 (~Php13,600).
