Intel has launched two new desktop CPUs under the Intel Core Ultra 200S Plus series, the Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus and Ultra 7 270K Plus.
The new Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus and Intel Ultra 7 270K Plus boast up to 900MHz boost to the die-to-die frequency compared to the Core Ultra 7 265K. This will help speed up the CPU/memory controller link by about 1GHz, lowering latency and improving gaming performance.

They also feature a new Intel Binary Optimization Tool that apparently increases instructions per cycle (IPC) and user performance. The goal is to take game codes optimized for other platforms, say consoles, and optimize them to run on an Intel system.
If you have the money to burn, you can pair the new Intel Core Ultra 200S Plus chips with up to 7200MT/s DDR5 memory, or even 8000MT/s when you enable the Boost BIOS profile.

The Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus has 18 cores that consist of 6 performance and 12 efficiency cores, with 18 threads, and up to 5.3GHz clock speeds.
Meanwhile, the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus has 24 cores with 8 performance and 16 efficiency cores, 24 threads, and up to 5.5GHz clock speeds. Both chips will work with 800-series motherboards.

The Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus retails for USD199 (~Php11,900), while the Ultra 7 270K Plus comes in at USD299 (~Php17,900). It will be available in select markets starting March 26, 2026. Microsoft confirmed that more Plus CPUs are coming in the future.
