Xiaomi beefs up its budget-friendly Redmi line with the new Redmi A7 Pro 5G.
UNISOC was tapped to power the Redmi A7 Pro 5G using its T8300 chipset, a 6nm chip with only two A78 performance cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six A55 efficiency cores at 2.0GHz.
The chipset comes with 4GB/6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB/128GB UFS 2.2 storage. It supports microSD cards with up to a 2TB capacity.
It then has a 6,300mAh battery, which has become the standard size for budget phones. It is paired with a 15W charging and 7.5W wired reverse charging.
We then have a 6.9-inch HD+ IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has 800-nit peak brightness and has Wet Touch Technology. It is guaranteed to receive 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches.
An 8-megapixel camera is on the front, while the rear has a 32-megapixel main shooter.
The Redmi A7 Pro 5G is now in India, with no clear signs of arriving in the Philippines for now. The 4GB/64GB retails for INR11,499 (~Php7,400) while the 4GB/128GB is for INR12,499 (~Php8,000).
