Most gaming keyboards force you to get used to them. Logitech is trying to flip that idea around.

The company announced a new keyboard called the Logitech G512 X, which is built for people who like to tinker with their gear. The main idea of this product is simple. You should not have to change how you play just because of your hardware. Instead, the hardware should change for you.

The highlight feature is that you can mix different types of switches on the same keyboard. Want your movement keys to feel different from your ability keys? You can do that. The keyboard works with most analog and mechanical switches that use 3 pin or 5 pin designs.

Logitech calls this Dual Swap technology. The keyboard comes with nine analog switches from Gateron to help you get started.

The company says the Logitech G512 X is very fast. It uses TMR sensors, which stands for Tunnel Magneto Resistance, along with True 8K technology. The total delay is 0.125 milliseconds. That covers the polling rate, reporting rate, and processing speed.

Because of the TMR sensors, the keyboard can tell how deep you press a key. It is not just a simple on or off signal. That matters for games like racing sims, flying games, or shooters where small movements can make a big difference.

Here is another trick. You can assign two different commands to a single key. The keyboard comes with small rings called SAPP rings. SAPP stands for Second Actuation Pressure Point. You put one of these rings under a key. When you press lightly, you get one action. When you push past the ring, you feel a small bump. That bump tells you that you have reached the second action.

For example, you could lightly tap to aim down sights and press harder to shoot. Or tap to equip a grenade and push deeper to throw it. All in one fluid motion.

The Logitech G512 X keyboard also has two dials that you can set up any way you like. They turn the keyboard into your own personal control panel.

Both come in black or white. There is a bright lightbar along the front edge with moving patterns. If you want extra wrist support, you can buy a separate acrylic palm rest.

Logitech also added a smart storage feature. The back of the keyboard has space for the keycap puller, the nine extra switches, and five SAPP rings, so you will not lose those small pieces.

The Logitech G512 X comes in two sizes: a smaller 75-key version ($179.99, ~Php11,000) and a larger 98-key variant ($199.99, ~Php12,000). No word yet on official pricing and availability in PH.
