The TECNO POVA 8 goes live as a midrange phone with an enormous battery.
Powering the TECNO POVA 8 is a generous 8,000mAh battery. It lasts for up to 2 days of light to moderate use and can survive up to 2,000 charging cycles. It ships with a 45W charger that gives a 50% charge in just 34 minutes.
A big highlight here is the new Alixe Matrix Display, which is a dot-matrix screen that looks like the third rear camera. Clearly inspired by the Nothing Phones. It shows notifications, charging status, timers, time, and more.
The cameras mentioned are the 50-megapixel main camera, auxiliary lens, and 13-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.
Under the hood, we have a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 octa-core processor, with up to 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. It ships with Android 16-based HiOS 16 interface.
There’s a big 6.76-inch FHD+ IPS display on the front, with a 144Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and it can still be operated even with wet or oily fingers.
The TECNO POVA 8 is now listed in India. The 6GB/128GB retails for INR29,999 (~Php19,100), while the 8GB/128GB retails for INR31,999 (~Php20,400).
